Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an antibiotic-resistant form of the common staph germ.

It survives on most any surface but thrives on moist areas of the skin. This stubborn germ is spreading in hospitals across the country at an alarming rate, but no one has tracked these cases " until now.
