Salmonella Outbreak Pushes Gov to Engage in Social Media

The recent peanut-butter-borne Salmonella outbreak has prompted the US Dept. of Health and Human Services to engage in a heavy social media push to inform citizens about the health risks and product recalls.

Among other channels employed the government agencies used MySpace, YouTube and Twitter.
