Automakers Cut Their Own Emissions So You Can Pollute More

An Energy Star program has helped the auto industry cut the amount of electricity and fuel needed to make vehicles, slashing ghg emissions by 750,000 tons. Consumers can now feel free to emit that extra 1.5 billion pounds of CO2, which shouldn't take long, as the total reduction amounts to 1/100th of 1 percent of annual fossil fuel emissions.
