The Worst Blizzard In Chicagos History

On Saturday, January 13 1979, the snow started and when it stopped the next day, 20.3 inches had fallen. the city already had 9 inches of snow lying around from an earlier storm, leaving about 30 inches on the ground and temperatures down to 14-below-zero, with a wind chill of 49-below.
