Aviation Security ReExamined A Mission Begun on 911

The horror of 9-11 led to the biggest reorganization of the federal government since the Truman Administration after World War II, and that included a new Transportation Security Administration to take control of aviation security from a patchwork of private security concerns. It has been enormously successful in thwarting attempted terrorism, but may not be sustainable on its current course.
